The Daily Bruin is committed to serving its purpose as a student newspaper – keeping public officials and organizations on and off campus accountable.
We have compiled this page to allow our readers to track what public records we’ve requested and how long it takes for them to be filled.
Under the California Public Records Act, a public record includes any writing containing information relating to the conduct of the public’s business prepared, owned, used or retained by any state or local agency, regardless of physical form or characteristics.
As a state and public institution, the University of California is subject to this law. Anyone can submit a public records request.
